Comet Tour

A dedicated and informative tour conducted by one of our knowledgeable stewards. Enjoy exclusive time in the only existing unmodified Comet 1a; the worlds very first jet airliner. You will hear the fascinating story of its origins, development, commercial service and tragic accidents while enjoying the privilege of sitting comfortably in original restored Comet 1 passenger seats. After the tour we move to our Comet 4 simulator. This was used for instrument training by BOAC Comet 4 pilots and later for pilots of Dan Air. You will have the privilege of sitting in one of the four iconic flight crew seats while learning more about its history and its crucial role in pilot training. 

Cost £20 per person (max 4 people on each tour), please note this does NOT include museum admission. The experience lasts approx. 90 minutes and is available on Thursdays only. Tours can be conducted between 10:30am and 13:30 pm. When you receive your email confirmation of purchase, please bring a copy with you to the museum, together with a form of id.
